Yes Neil its a click a way but without any kind of system or minimum standard, that's the point - of course that may also be your point, in which case my point is pointless to you, if you get the point. :)

(taking off the gloves) "well we'll see 'bout that!" :) nah, perhaps you guys are right, but it neither seems like much work nor does it imply that it is the non-musicians that make the requests - it can in fact be a log of remixers requests to remixers, i.e. "I think this'n that shou...

There may not always be unique names, but there are mostly different names. For the indifferent names, the names can be changed over time by users - not a single person. I don't think there's any particular reason to wait for the messageboard to be heavily used. In fact I'm not sure how many non mus...

I think its too informal. Say I'm Joe Remixer, I want to remix some tune. Now I have to browse archives to see what people want to hear? I'd rather have that remixers can see detailed descriptions of every request; as opposed to a forum, the service will stimulate more input because of the very pres...

Request: The ability to request.

If there's a form for requests you could influence the stream of remixes in your direction by submission of requests, detailed requests where the name, composer name, style, desc., remix reason, remix approaches are included.

How's that sound?

demo music

Appropos demo music, both the c64 and amiga had a large demo scene and wrt. the amiga I'd say that there are also bloody many good songs. Perhaps we should start to compile charts as I mentioned in my last post, 60 secs ago. :)

I just hope, Feekzoid, that you and other remixers will try, when faced with the choice of whether to remix a tune that has been remixed more than twice or some alternatives, to consider if there are some cool retro songs that have yet to be remixed. I think we need such lists of unremixed cool tune...

I'm not sure its much easier to use a retro-sequencer to remix a song than a modern state-of-the-art sequencer. And there are programs to translate both mods and sids into midis. Further, in my experience with mod remixes, they don't all sound all that impressive, in fact many suck. First of all, if...

Feekzoid To-do

Feekzoid, I'll remind you that Exotica has a huge archive of Amiga game info/grabs/music so you may want to check that out. http://exotica.fix.no/gallery/games/index.html I remember Dark Seed as an excellent surreal game, but I don't remember if there was any special music in it. But perhaps you sho...

Isn't stardust's music better than superstardust's? As far as I remember his handle was rib. I wonder if he is still doing game music.

One central resource for a Commodore Remix community would be great, but with some good organization, avoiding it becoming a big mess (..overclocked comes to my mind..). I don't think overclocked is a mess - there is a database where entries a categorized with respect to system, composer etc., but ...

I know this is seriously off-topic, but is there any of you C64 music remixers that also remix Amiga stuff? How 'bout you 2klang? And if, is it then available at some public web page? :)

Re: Bionic Commando

Indeed, Bionic Commando is definitely not "outmixed", there are many subtunes and its hard to get tired of them. I wonder what style would be coolest to apply in a remix of it - jazz, electronic/techno, fusion?

Re: Driller

Total Eclipse - I'd forgotten about that although I did play it a lot :) .. the song was pretty good if I remember right, so a remix of that would be cool. And of course, somewhat in that genre, Castle master. Dark Side and Driller had the best music IMO, but Total Eclipse had a great sense of atmo...
