Collecting old games...

Post by DaveT »

Hi,
Maybe not the best place but maybe some of you know about it. Where is the best place to buy original C64 games besides Ebay?
I'm trying to find the oldies I love and cherish and the ones I never had the oportunity to own back in the days...
I'm trying to find the best games (Thalamus, System 3, etc) but I'm having a lot of trouble with disk versions and rarer titles... any1 here know the best shops? A place or trade forum or comunity?
Thanks,

Dave

I do some C64 trading myself Dave but I mainly deal with tape but if there are specific games you're looking for, send me a message and I'll see if I can help out.

I've got a few hundred in stock at the moment going back to '82 so I might have something of interest! 8)

Hi Dave,

I'm currently working on a new section for my site http://www.binaryzone.org which will contain loads of classic C64 titles available on tape (and some on disk). They will all be in great condition, tested and I'll even be replacing the tape boxes with brand new ones (even those double tape boxes) for each game I sell. The C64 section will go online next week. :)

Excellent! Always nice to hear from past BZ customers. As you can see the Zone is still going strong. :)

Not got any of those in at the moment - did have LN2 and Summer Camp but they went quite quickly. A lot of the others I'm trying to get for my own collection!! 8)

Only System 3 one I've got at the moment is Vendetta (I think!).

Kenz: since I've been checking the site and no news have been happening could you send me a mail when the games store opens?

No worries DaveT, I'm juggling loads of projects at the moment but keep an eye on this forum for an announcement when I open the retro store.

I'm doing some of mine now as part of a BIT Live fundraising scheme if you - or anyone else - is interested. I've only got some of them put onto the listing but I should be transferring my full stock list over in the next week or two once I've got my new PC up and running.

The list and details is at http://www.simonplumbe.co.uk/bitlivesales.htm
