Scrambled Mind by Heatbeat (MDA EDIT)

Post by stainlesssteel »

Hi again,

here is another one of my favorite amiga mods.

This time its "Scrambled Mind" by Heatbeat.

I used the T-Racks VST and the Izotop OZONE mastering plugins (took me few days going through 20 different mixdowns) for the first time.
I lack the experience in the mastering department and i dont possess a proper listening setup, so forgive me if the result doesnt match the standarts of other remixers.

Im working on it.

The original was one of my fav.Amods...
And I must say you've manage to remove the magic in the song,
I like (read love) your other remixes, but this is less good...
Think this song is ment to be little slower...
But ok, it's a MDA remix....:? (probably will aprove to it than)
not bad, just personal opinion.,.,.,

Greetings !

<Lateredit/SecondThoughts>

Forgive my words....
The trick is to play the original first,,,Than knock it up an notch with the remix!!! 8)
Musikk er n0kkelen !

This is a somewhat strange remix. It's quite a different animal compared to the original but it does have something in it that I like. The slow lead and the fast background rhythm does have some merrit, especially when the slow lead "syncs up" with the background sound. Not bad stainless.

ps. I've never understood what mastering entails. It sounds like tweaking, glorified. Please enlighten me.

Howdy,

well, after listening to it again i think i should have tuned up the instruments a bit more and turn the percussions down a little.

At first i was going to make it somewhat closer to the original cause i liked that funky tune of it, but things just turned out differently.

Im glad though that it provoked a reaction at all :-)
