Glad to see you come back to it, I really liked some of your original C64 stuff, should be interesting to hear what you come up with after all this time.
I have about 4 old c64's and I want to get one making some tunes. I am keen to program some sounds on it to be used as samples (in the future make them availble for other people to use). I have found some explanations about peeking and pokeing the memory of the SID chip from the original c64 manual. I was wondering if you could give me some programming tips / examples / links that might help. I haven't done much programming however I know how synths work. Is it possible for me to make a program where I can make "live" adjustments (kinda like the patches and patterns on rebirth/reason for the c64) to the sounds or would I just be re-inventing the wheel? Can you program an arpeggiator and how? etc.
Heh, I cant really remember any of the old programming stuff I used to do. Last time I coded on the C64 was in an emulator when I wrote a sidplay compatible play routine for my sample playback.
Re-inventing the wheel? No I dont think so, but I'm lazy these days I can get just the kind of C64 instruments I want via existing VST's.

You've weirded my out now
Everyone else:
Stay tuned, I will release my C64 recent work ASAP, I've been distracted by some new synthy stuff in my "modern" sequencer
