There are 2 versions out on Barbarian (sid sub tune 3 in hvsid/Joseph_Richard) , but it really deserves another try.
Matthias sachal's is a bit short, but i guess thats because original is shorter (54sek loop with intro).
Endrody Gabor's is nicely arranged. Both got good feel but perhaps misses a bit of brassy power.
A listen to Basil Poledouris - song #1 Anvil of Crom..(and other tracks) on the Conan The Barbarian Soundtrack (movie) helps.

Oh haden't heard that one sorry, never really liked buying remix cds (feels wrong.. mine's free :). But from the sample i'd say it's better but could still be heavier though.
