I normally use a Hex Editor, find the MOD Header which has info such as the length of the MOD and I than use that info to rip the tune. I guess its kind of OldSk00l :)

Let me know the .adf and I can try and rip them for you.

Ok thanks :D
I forgot to say that the tracks are packed/crunched.
I did succesfully rip one of the tracks I wanted "4ce the base" and save it to disk.adf with action replay.
The other one "Twilight zone part II" I couldn't find with action replay, maybe you can in some way? :D

Here is the disk with 4ce the base.
http://trace.ziphoid.com/amiga/Disk.adf <-4ce the base

Here is the actuall music disk with the tracks on.
http://trace.ziphoid.com/amiga/Disk#1.adf
http://trace.ziphoid.com/amiga/Disk#2.adf

Hope you can get it so I can do my "music disk" :P
Or else I can allways wav the track when playing in the emulator and then mp3 or ogg it ;)

ps: I have downloaded a hex editor, where can I see how big the mod file is in a .adf file? :D

I tried to download the two music disks but no luck. I was able to download the first disk, but shows up as blank in WINUAE.

It didn't work with the # sign apparently, now it works ;)

It should be a track in the other disk but you probably can rip to a own one yourself? ;)

You can use unadf (http://lclevy.free.fr/adflib/unadf.html) to extract files from an adf. But that doesn't help much since, as you said, the mods are crunched and it's highly unlikely to find the correct decruncher.
I was able to find out that there's a header, probably of size 12, with the following content:
  • 4 bytes: compressed size - 12
  • 4 bytes: original size
  • 4 bytes: something, non-constant (because of the first header entry, I guess this is still part of the header)
...but this doesn't help much either.
If one has a hex editor (or some other tool) able to generate a histogram over byte values, one sees that in the compressed files, 00h is highly likely, followed by 80h, followed by 40h and C0h, followed by 20h, 60h, A0h and E0 etc.
Maybe someone knows a compressor with such characteristics (that can also be an artifact of the fact that these mods contain lots of 00h's (?) )
Who knows! Good luck! :D

Ok I found two tools that might do the decrunching/depacking, but I couldnt get either of the two running in WinUAE.

Pro Wizard and Perverter.

Ok thanks :D
The tracks can be ripped after they have been loaded in the musicdisk with Action replay ;)
Then saved to an emty adf disk created in winuae :D
I have been able to rip one of the tracks "4ce the base" but "twilight zone part II" I cant' find for some reason though they are tracked in the same tracker ... wierd...

I can remember how to load a ripper like exotic ripper to ripp stuff, nothing works :?

maybe that's why I can't rip it Action replay :/ something baybe has gone wrong in the crunching back then, but the track plays ok...
Maybe I just wav output the tracks in winuae and mp3 them ;)
Though I wish my mod list would be complete, I only misses those 2 :/

Thanks for the unadf, this was cool, I got the files but then again they are crunched...

I succeded to rip and save one of the tracks 4ce the base and the did the unadf and it played fine in Deliplayer but it was just jibberish in modplygplayer, that was wierd...

I can't understand why I can't rip Twilightzone :/

Can you rip the other songs on these disks? And, if yes, which ones?

I can rip all other track but not twilightzone for some reason.

I also noticed that the tracks doesn't play back the same way as when I have transfered them over betweeen my amiga and my pc with my null modem cable.
