He most likely did f all personally on that product, anyway! He probably just signed a piece of paper saying they could use his name on it, and accepted the cash not knowing what the hell it really was.

I don't think a guy like Timbaland would let people release a music product with his name on it without at least having a final look at the product before it's released.

The rap game is all about reputation, and he won't risk being dissed by his competitors for a crappy music mixer software. Plus, the Play Station is considered the "coolest" gaming console in those circles, so I bet Timbaland will in fact contribute musically to that product in order to brag with it afterwards.

I wonder if there are gonna be old SID tunes in that Play Station software. ;-)

I think Timbaland has enough people dissing him not to care about it any more: he thinks he can do anything to anyone, and that he's godlike.

Now, he's just coming off as a complete clown. I really hope he'll have to eat his own words. What an utter wanker!
Wait a minute... I know you're imitating a crying clown in the beginning of your Caprifolian Waltz! Makke, have you been predicting the future again? ;)

Timbaland and PSP.

Okay who is the first to rip that tune and bring it out commercialy. Since it's just from some bloody game?

As I read it, it's mixing software...

I've found this discussion yesterday and it is unbelievable. Somehow it seems quiet now. Anyone got the latest update?

Ironic you should bump the post on today, of all days :)

I know something of what's going to happen, but I don't think I should say anything: other than, action might be nearer than anyone thinks.

I don't know if this was mentioned or not:

Timbaland rips off scene artist
http://digg.com/music/Timbaland_ripped_ ... y#c4713693

Timbaland responds and admits "sampling"
http://digg.com/music/Timbaland_respond ... o_Show_MP3

I hate people getting cred for something they just ripped off.

It looks like it has gotten some high profile media attention, with stories on both digg and slashdot but it may inspire others to rip off as well...

I also saw an interview with this guy and he was unbelievably arrogant! Like he was one of the best musicians in the world.

I wasn't aware that the rip was that close!

For those of you who don't understand German, I'll translate the last sentence from the article:
Many musicians from the Techno and Electro scene are inspired by the odd-sounding music on the C64, for instance Scooter ("Burning the House"), Zombie Nation ("Kernkraft 400") and others.

Odd-sounding??? What cheek! ;-)

"It's from a videogame idiot <hahahahaha> fucking jerk... "
"sample and stole are two different things"
"Is he crazy? I live in america"

I want him to pay for this! Bring the lawyers!

"schräg klingend" could also be translated to "sounding fancy" in the sense of "unusal".
