As i said, i'll probably be there, but as yet i can't say for certain i've got many travels and things to do over the next few month...

I think with hand on heart it should not be a problem to attend but i cannot at this moment say for certain.

And to be honest, i feel if i didn't attend then dan would sooooo miss me ;)

I really hope you can make it as well: be good to meet up again. Thankfully there's no crazy golf courses nearby so I can't show off my spawniness once again eh? ;)

Word of warning:

The Premier League fixtures have been announced, and Manchester United play Manchester City on the 10th September at Old Trafford. This date might be subject to change from Sky (maybe to Sunday 11th), but what this means is:

* lots of Man U fans staying at hotels in Manchester for the game coming up from London, so book your hotels now to avoid disappointment

Another reminder is that the local police already have a zero tolerance policy on people who carry open bottles and cans of beer, so if you are heading back into Manchester on the Saturday or Sunday evening just be sure not to be carrying any beer with you, just incase. An increased police presence in the city centre will probably clamp down even more that weekend.

Of course we'll be away from that, but for those of you returning to your city centre hotels I thought I'd best give you a heads up on that one.

The problem is, there's only a limited number of weekends in the year, so there's something big bound to be happening on one of them.

So... anyone got that list of accommodation near the venue then, so I can book something? :P

These two are pretty near and both have rooms available:

Travel Inn Oldham Chadderton:

Travelodge Oldham Broadway (really close to the venue - £47 per room per night)

This just in: the missus exam party date has finally been set: september 3rd and not the weekend after.

Which means that I'll be hopping a plane to Manchester friday afternoon the following weekend in time for BITLite.

Cheers for that :)

By "really close", are we talking walking distance here?

(or "staggering distance" depending on how much is drunk!)
