Yeah. Me likes all things retro.

This is one cool synth. Artuaria sure knows how to use the CPU power at hand.

There were only like 100 made of these in original hardware, and now anyone can own one.......eh......virtually. =)

Actually, ARP built about 3000 2600s. Still a precious rarity nonetheless. I'll need to check the demos, if arturia has gotten the 'bite' of its sound right, I'll be a happy customer...

Atleast I made my point of getting the message through of there being very few of the original HW in the world. 8)

From Arturia's website:
"Introduced in 1972 with its ""Blue Meanie"" version (not even 100 were built), the ARP 2600 has evolved over the years to become a synthesizer celebrated by the most respected musicians."

So the original synth, from wich the Arp2600 was evolved (with the separate controller), was manufactured in less than 100 stock modules.
