Crazy Frog actually originated from Germany in the forum of a computer virus. Loads of innocent PCs were HaXx0r3d by the virus that played the Crazy Frog and then ultimately crashed the system, causing the user to need to format/get a new HDD.

The amusing thing about this story is, the creator of Crazy Frog cannot claim copywrite without ending up in jail on computer crimes convictions.

... but more to the point, there is too many remixes of it now and it is beginning to get annoying. You just can't escape it. It's like trying to escape football during a match of global significance... it can't be done.

I think that may be an urban legend: the guy who did the original animation has a website claiming copyright, in which he tells people to stop writing to him because Jamster did ask permission and he signed a contract with them.

I like your version better though... it has style and a strange kind of natural justice.

Personally, I find "Sweety the chick" far more annoying than the Crazy Frog. Didn't the animator of the Frog originally adequately call it "The annoying thing"? :D I think it was posted here at the Funny Video Corner when it was still unknown.

I can't believe that people like that CRAP tune!

It drives me crazy those jamster mobile ads on TV (still they must be raking in the cash).
