Childish, silly but VERY bloody funny.

Sorry if this has been posted before, but it was new one for me. The further you read, the more you will chuckle - the picture of Sir Clive at the end is a classic!

"Spectrum owners had (and continue to have) only one testicle. C64 owners have two, which is normal."

Hilarious writeup there, Mayhem. I was giggling madly while reading through it, which earned me many a weird look from the missus. 'twas worth it, though. :D

It did start out somewhat serious and got progressively more deranged as I went on

Can't take the credits for the pics at the bottom though, they were lovingly created by some other C64-fans from the YakYak boards...

Hehe, I should have three testicles then.

I'm not agree with that on the sound front. The 128k AY chip made some rather nice noises. True, the 48k beeper sounded truly f*cking awful, much like that Gargling Hamster. On balance, I like both the SID and the AY. The SID is capable of so much more, but they're both quite charming in their own way.
Great, another set of strings ruined...

Nah, don't be daft, I do have some good taste. What I meant was that I had both a Spectrum and a C64. I could enjoy the best of both worlds. Alright, the C64 was my sisters, but I bought all the games for it and didn't let her play any of them. Harsh eh?

I also call BS on C64 cartridges as a plus point. Yeah, they loaded in about five seconds, but most of them were invariably crap.

Hmmm... Follin's Agent-X, Galways Ping Pong (beeper) and Cyberniod (on the AY) was about all I liked on the Speccy (in fact, I prefer the Cybernoid music on the Speccy to the C64)

Other than that though, the AY chip didn't really rock my world...

I also like some Gameboy and Megadrive music - how many testicles is THAT, Mayhem?

hehe me and tonka share the same love for the speccy dave rogers version of cybernoid's tune :D

it might not have been as epic as jeroen's c64 effort but it fitted in so much better.. ive been trying to remix it for such a long long time .. but never found the right sound.

would LOVE to hear a remix of dave rogers classic.. hint hint ;-)
