Turrican 2: Freedom - Western Remix

Is it me or is this a truly original and near perfectly (in the extacy of the moment) executed remix! Damn! Bring it!

(Reminds me of "the damn dam": :) )

The amiga remix scene is picking up.

im really annoyed about this 'remix'.

i played the remix and the original from ennio morricone "the good, the bad and the ugly" - soundtrack - title 10 - "ecstasy of gold" and its really the same song. some parts were rearranged, thats all. in fact its 100% "ecstasy of gold" except the first 30 seconds. statement please.

"Ask not what you can do for your country"

You make a good point though (Paul, this might be a very dangerous copyright infringement).

I've checked it, it's indeed Ennio Morricone.
It's really most embarassing for "AmiGamer".
And the beginning, it's so obvious - a cheap MIDI arrangment changing into the typical oldschool Morricone sound....
It even seems to be the original version from the '60s, iTunes for example provides a newer recording with a more "modern" sound.
Tsstsss...

I knew this would create some controversy ...

AmiGamer cleared this with me before submitting it. He and I both thought it was a neat experiment, and that is all AmiGamer intended it to be, which I believe is made clear in the info page for the remix. I let him know I would allow it with the knowledge that if a copyright holder complained I would of course take it offline immediately.

I will update the composer though, to rightly credit Morricone as well as Hülsbeck.

I think that's the right way to go about it. I'm still glad I heard this, dispite it not being quite as original as I thought.
