We have a new section on C64hq called Audio/Video. At this point, there's about 50 free MP3's and videos from C64 Audio, Makke, Goto80, and other artists for you to download! We do of course have some exclusive tracks as well. We've managed to get hold of Rob Hubbard's original recordings of One Man and His Droid and Phantoms of the Asteroid. They were recorded in 1983-ish. What a nice addition to you C64 collection, don't you agree?

Head over to http://www.c64hq.com to check it out!

Wahey! Looking forward to grabbing and listening when I get home (no speakers on this PC). Now get Rob to submit them to RKO.

That's fantastic stuff! Thanks very much for getting the word out on this, Andreas! :D

OMAHD sounds so raw and hypnotic, I love it. There's almost a Tangerine Dream like urgency about the way it starts. I can feel the Jarre-ness of it too.
Reminds me a litle of the o2 sound and makes me wonder what his version of this great tune would be like (as one of my favourite RKO remixers.)

As for Phantoms of the Asteroids: YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL, YOU ARE ADORABBBBLE! Make me feel wonderful..... :D (sorry, getting carried away)
Rob's melodies are unforgettable on this track - its sweetly satisfying to hear them at such an early stage in their development. Awesome! :)

I'm not overly familiar with Human League to be honest!
Which would be the generally reccomended album to start on do people think?

well, if you like classical hq- synthpop you should grab their "dare" album
it's a classic! if you more in experimental electro music, like me, then you
better choose "travelogue" & "reproduction" in my opinion these three
albums are the best of human league...
