Ever more frequently I am asked whether we could not offer our
live shows beside also as Podcast show. Since I
did not concern myself however yet particularly with this system,
braeuchte I something assistance with the explanation.

As I understood it so far, take up one its show, convert her
and load her upward on Podcast.de.

Our show recently announced there. However still many questions
remain, e.g.:

How to upload a show???
How to generate a RSS Script which linking to the recorded MP3? (at present we have only RSS Scripte for our
news and/or following live shows)

If someone could send an exact guide or other to me apart
from tips, I became over pn much am pleased or post it here.

Remember that we only offer the possibility to our listeners of hearing missed shows on the way with their MP3-Player.

Thanks for your help.

You use the <enclosure> tag for that..

rss specifications on enclosure

example

Code: Select all

<enclosure url="http://www.scripting.com/mp3s/weatherReportSuite.mp3" length="12216320" type="audio/mpeg" />

I'm still confused about Podcast. :?

I downloaded a "RSS Newswriter" today to generate RSS-Scripts for Podcast. If I record a show and upload it on my server, then offering the XML-File it on my website, Podcast users can download it automatically?

Do they also find our show automatically on Podcast.de or what shell I do for this?

I've tried another method at this page:

http://feeds.feedburner.com/radio-(name removed)

Normally it should be enough to Update the following script with "RSS Newswriter", a small tool for new Podcast-Shows:

http://www.radio-(name removed).de/podcast.xml

Could anyone test this both links and giving a feedback?

I only upload a simple jingle file yet, but it should be enough for testing it with special I-Tune Readers or players.

It works fine for me !!
Downloaded with my own test client.. (pre alpha)

To get listed on podcast.de and sites like that I think you have to 'submit' your feed there or something..

You have an idea how exactly?

I try to public our radio 2 times there and I wonder that I never get an E-Mail or something else. And we're still not listed in "Emulation". :(

Are there any other big Podcast sites which worth to register?
