We are a CITY? and yes unfortunately we had that little tarnish at one time.

Did you know that god rest his soul that Charlie Williams "hey up me flower" played for Doncaster Rovers for 11 seasons before becoming a comedian?

Patrick Stewart is not that far from where I live, and another great actor Sean Bean, he's a Sheffield born lad. Again, not that far from me really.

And yeah, I liked Charlie Williams too. He was a really laugh.

Brian Blessed and Tony Christie are two of my faves.

"Gordon's ALIVE...."

Hmmm... there's not really a famous person originating from Schleswig... So let's start with myself... Oh, wait! Not famous but notorious...

OK, reality-check. We have here castle Gottorf, home of the lines of Schleswig-Holstein-Hadersleben & Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorf. Peter III., czar of russia, founder of the line Romanow-Holstein-Gottorp originated from here.
