Health and the Commodore Curse....

OK, what is it with these things?

I've been feeling unhealthy and fat and lethargic, so I went to join the gym. I didn't see the first reading on my blood-pressure - the guy just shook his head, said "That's not right" and reset the machine before I could read it - but then proceded to clock 145/115 a few times before being told I couldn't use the gym without seeing my GP.

Who I'm seeing tomorrow. Which is a bit concerning, at a youthful 32 years of age, to be feeling quite so crapulent. I'm a bit nervous about it, hence this bit of drivel. I know it's not really anything compared to the health problems that some of ma homies *chicken-head-symbol hand-gesture* have had, but all the same... *grumble*

Anyway. Enough witter.

I hear you brother. I'm 36 and the list of health issues is stacking up. Good luck on the test.

Hopefully it will just be a thyroid thing.

I'm sure it's nothing alarming, Bog.

It's still a good thing to get into shape, whatever the outcome. I've never felt so healthy and happy as when I used to work out 4-5 per week. Which reminds me, I need to get myself a gym card again.

Anyway, good luck tomorrow, though I'm sure it's nothing serious.

Aim for 144 over 88 if possible Bog... I recommend lots of warm milk and a chris abbott "Crystal Dreamscapes" CD. We'll soon have that BP down to normal m8. PS: streaming smoothjazz.com through winamp works well too ;)

Consistantly high BP can lead to stroke, and trust me, thats the LAST thing you want. Don't push yourself so hard, your health aint worth it in the long term.

I got one of these:

I take it easy, but get my daily dose. Heart/bp monitors are about a tenner.

Nothing conclusive yet, off for a bloodletting tomorrow.

Hey, Bog!
Get well soon, dude! :)

Age and that little extra portion of weight do wierd things to blood pressure and heartbeat rate...

I've had to add some 50kg extra fat to reach halfway normal readings...
