Connecting a 128D to a PC

Does anyone know how I can connect my C128D to a PC to transfer files?
I decided I want to finish Head over Heels, but the disk is broken...

I'm useless at electronics, so I need a way that won't require any soldering... Can I buy a cable or some other kind of interface anywhere?
All the information on-line is about connecting a 1541, and I'm hoping to avoid opening the box to get to the built-in 1571 drive.

Help me, please. I'm desperate :D

Easiest/cheapest way I know of transfering disk images (required a £10.00 cable):

[edit] I don't have a 128D, so can't say if this would work or not..

OR

MMC64 is also a very good option - just play it right off an SD card then. :)

[edit 2] MMC64 CAN write images from SD card to disk, but not the later (metal) 128D's, apparently...

The MMC64 fast disk writer has problems with the 128D's 1571 diskdrive . .

It does work fine with 1541's . .

There might be a fix for it (havn't checked since Octoberish) .. or just use the MMC64s slow (standard) disk writer ..

Yeah - as I understand it, only the built in disk writer works with a 128D drive but this has been taken out in recent bios updates to make room for more 'interesting' stuff (including FAT32 support, which most plugins don't support yet - LOL)!

@ PFK - I'd go for an MMC64 and re-flash the bios to an older version. :)

You may also use a special null modem cable plus terminal progs on both sides but I think hooking up a 1541 to the C128 and then connect it to the PC with an 1541x-cable should be way easier.
