Hi folks

im an old c64 dude (i think, as most of you all too) with more interests in demo- as in game-music and collected a lot of c64 demos from the time period 1987 - 1993! after browsing RKO and remix64 i found a lot of very nice mixes here!

so i decided to bring you here a small list with very great demo tunes! perhaps some of you will use one of this song for his next remix project?

you can crap the original sid file directly by clicking on the name! here we go...

Jouni Ikonen (Mixer) - Mixer
released by Origo Dreamline! i didnt remember the demo, but i think it was 'Four Years' or 'Elysion'

Jouni Ikonen (Mixer) - Ikari & Talent Tune
released in an Ikari & Talent Intro as far as i remember

Ove Oldberg (Bappalander) - Last Traktor 1
released by Horizon in the demo 'The Last Traktor III'

Linus Nielsen (Boogaloo) - Vector Tune
released by Horizon in the demo 'The Last Traktor III'

Jens-Christian Huus (JCH) - Hawaii
cant remember where i heard this tune first... often used in different demos!

Hans Axelsson (TDM) - Gamers Guide 1
released by Triad for her DiskMag 'Gamers Guide' (... Dealer Quality Software out there??)

Jakob Mellander (Quan) & Kaspar Dahlquist (Evony) - Atlantic Ranger
sorry... cant remember exactly, i think it was a music collection from Audial Arts

Jakob Mellander (Quan) & Kaspar Dahlquist (Evony) - Smooth Dimension
same as above... fantastic, excellent and bombastic tune!!

Ari-Pekka Paljakka (Zardax) - Jingle
released by Origo Dreamline, but cant remember which demo it was!!

20th Century Composers* - Sophisticated 3
*20th Century Composers (20CC) are the dutch guys: Falco Paul & Edwin Van Santen
released by Blackmail in the demo Sophisticated 3

Thomas Bendt (Scortia) - Kloroform
released by Bonzai, but cant remember which demo it was... (Bonzai... More than just a Tree?!)

Tomas Danko - Complications
released by Censor Design in one of the Wonderland demo

Tomas Danko - Elementary
released by Censor Design in Wonderland X

Tomas Danko - Some Pleasure
released by Censor Design in one of the Wonderland demo

Toni Hilpinen (Page) - Brutality 6
released by Light in the demo Brutality

Trond Kjetil Lindanger - S.O. Playency
released by Moz(IC)art in a music collection! Moz(IC)art were Geir Tjelta & Trond Kjetil Lindanger

Alain Hertenstein (Iron Cat) - For Dany/*BYG
* BYG = Babygang
released by Babygang in the Hexagone demo i think

thats all now... someone have interesting in re-mixing them? it would be very nice to hear one or perhaps all in a modern style (ehm... i meant more than 3 voices)

thanx a lot!!

p.s. if someone wants more x-amples... no problem.. i know a lot!

1st one was in demo called Eldorado in CLF's hires-color-fli-thing mode part. The demo did well in Horizon easter party 1990.

2nd one was a tune done for Ikari&Talent intro, but I remember that they did not like it. I do not remember what happened to it since or how it got to hvsc.

Interesting list of demo tunes though.

Cheers,

Mixer

Oh, everyone remix this one! I know Danko would love to hear more versions of this tune!* ;)

Nice list N3XU5. Gave me a couple of new SIDs that I really hadn't listened to earlier. Cheers!

Jakob Mellander (Quan) & Kaspar Dahlquist (Evony) - Smooth Dimension

this one is so full of emotions- touches me everytime I listen to it really deep, its like Bjerregaard's Sweet, but I dare to say even better 8)

the first time I have heard it in a triad intro, accompanied with a scrolltext about how the leaves changes colors and fall dawn in autumn it was wonderful.

Hey it was a nice experience to listen to this one, I was only familiar with The Dungeon Master's Triad version of the tune. Danko's really has a lot more depth.

Makke: would you like to elaborate on this topic? Sounds interesting :)
