Well, we're on http://edition.cnn.com/2007/TECH/ptech/ ... nnSTCPhoto" target="_blank (picture #7) and some text too :duh:

Anyhoo, the remix community might get some attention from this, I hope!

Would help if they referenced any remix sites: especially those who had pioneered orchestral remixes and CD releases... *sigh*

Good work dudes! :)

I noticed too there isn't any reference to remix scene or Chris, who started nearly it all.
But i guess it's not your fault.

Well, good to get some attention on the matter anyway :)

The CNN pitch is not about c64 remixes but about what you used and use your c64 for. I see this as a great opportunity for people getting to know about the c64 music scene and that way find out that there are albums and those can be bought. Right now there are tons of people not being aware of what we're doing here, and when they find out sparks will light up, and that might end up in CDs being bought, for instance at c64audio :)

Eventually other articles will be written and that can also spawn more attention and what not? :)

Exactly. You missed the point entirely Chris.

Some of the article is prominent PR Fluff for a remix album, though. Without that, I'd agree. Would a link have killed them? :(

So much was cut from the answers we send to Peggy who wrote the article (which of course was expected). Ville (my co-driver) was completely cut out. Anything I mentioned about SLAY Radio was also cut out.

Yeah Chris - why would you assume the C64 remix scene has any place in an article about C64's (which some people, er, use to make, uhm, C64 remixes)?!

Jeez, you're such a gumby - I'm embarrassed for you... :bash:

Don't know if you can use this information for anything but here goes nothing:

PPOT received somewhat 450 hits from CNN (leading to ~1000 pages read on ppot.com) and approx 2500 (leading to ~4500 pages read) from an italian site writing about us inspired by the CNN thing. Out of these approx 120 went into our CDs page, and a little under a hundred people pressed the C64 banner exchange. The day after the CNN incident the amount of CNN hits plunged to 32.

The most interesting pages became the free music and the free videos. That's what people want :)

That's how much we got out of it, ie. not much.
