There seems to be a lot of sickness going around lately, certainly here in England. I didn't think someone could catch another cold straight away as the antibodies would still be strong in your system.

If it makes you feel any better i haven't had a cold for nearly 3 years.

No it does not make me feel better!!! :) However it has been a few years of very stressful things and I think that has weakened my immune system.

Doctor said that you can catch a cold right away after getting over another one.

I use one of those:

After suffering from chronical sinusitis including surgery this is the best thing to use.

Btw.: It's for the nose :-)

And the simple & cheap version:
One glass of warm water with one spoon of salt. Suck the water in through your nose, spit it out through the mouth. It's yucky but helps (also with allergic problems).

Funny! Got the same one at home. Bought at LIDL, too?

No, at some pharmacy for at least double the price, I'd say.

Very interesting device never seen/heard of it before... is it kind of like a Neti pot?

Neti doesn't work for me unfortunately.

Been through 3 nose operations, two for a broken nose and one sinus operation two years ago (FESS-operation).

Nothing has helped and right now sitting in front of the keyboard my face and nose is all swollen. Argh!!!

So I'll swap your couple of months worth of cold with my 4 years of puffy face anyday!

and sleeping at night looking like this.

Yes.. I have sleep apnea... so I need a machine to get a good sleep. So when I have a cold with congestion, I cant breath trough my nose and the air being pumped by the Sleep Apnea makes me cough even more. So when I have a cold I cant use my machine to get a good nights sleep.

I have a Neti Pot, but I'd be interested in the other machine displayed here, I'll have to see if its available in North America, I have certainly not seen it in department stores anywhere.

I'm wondering if your wife ever feels like she's having it off with Darth Vader?? :hysterical:

Ever thought about an operation?
