I was wondering if the wonderful tune "Computer Camp Love" released by Datarock in 2005 ever was topic of any discussions in here. Obviously it wasn't. Lots of C64's in the music video and also in the lyrics! Enjoy.

What I want to do is list the top-voted tunes I haven't voted for yet. Is this still possible? What would be the URL now?

Re: Digital MIDI-capable synthesizer on the cheap !
I bought a Yamaha SY-77 recently and can recommend it. Along with a MIDI connection to my PC and the software "SY Manager" by Jon Morgan, I never need to use the crappy display to program any patterns or sounds and can do everything on the big screen. The only problem of this synth is that...

Re: Jilted Generation - Bah Bah Bah
I could imagine this piece of music as the soundtrack to a game like Double Dragon. Nice one! Only a bit too many trebles for my taste. It's all about the bass, you know!

Re: Placid Remedy
It should have been mentioned in the rejection email that this is about copyright issues rather than discouraging musicians to make covers of a cover. I mean, I knew Yie ar Kung Fu *before* I knew Magnetic Fields Part IV, so to me, Galway is the original.

Placid Remedy
Arrgh! My tune "Placid Remedy" has been rejected by RKO. Reason: "Yie Ar Kung Fu subtune 19 is a straight cover of Magnetic Fields part IV, so technically this isn't a C64 remix." Which I don't understand, as there are other remixes of this tune available at RKO, e.g. by Aurasil....

I know some Tusker remixes, but I've never seen the gameplay before. Interesting!

Re: Oscillator Alligator - C-64 inspired album by soundsosound
This is really nice original work. Good composition, pro sound quality. I also sense some Sakamoto and Oldfield in there, is that right?
Keep up the good, inspiring work!

Re: Mixing/mastering for my song
So in the meantime I have found more really good free stuff: 1.) Voxengo Marvel GEQ: equalizer, which in combination with Voxengo span enables a very good visual EQing of your tracks 2.) LoudMax: limiter with a good preservation of the original track's characteristics Any more recommendations anyone?

Re: Mixing/mastering for my song
After getting more comments like "Cute!" or "Sounds flat!", I decided to follow your advice and dive a little deeper into the world of mastering. Unfortunately, I cannot spend much money, so I'm looking mostly for free VST plug-ins for my free Adobe Audition 3.0. The first thing ...

Mixing/mastering for my song
Hi everyone! I want to apply for a job as a music-related software engineer. And for my appication, I want to add a link to a MySpace page with some of my songs from different eras of my life. One of them is my 2011 C64 remix "Usagi", which you can find at http://www.remix64.com/track/omor...
