Re: [WIP]Realm of Impossibility & Mail Order Monsters
Interesting idea Commie User - I'll try to approximate Rick Wakeman's style (in the video) in my Mail Order Monsters tune. Gives me something to aim for.

Re: Movie Monster Game
Ah, that is a neat tune. I long assumed that the Movie Monster Game was a repackaged Crush,Crumble and Chomp which uses "Night on Bald Mountain" in its SID. The Movie Monster Game looks like a remake on par with the Temple of Apshai Trilogy vs. the original Temple of Apshai, and has its ow...

[WIP]Realm of Impossibility & Mail Order Monsters
Hello fellow C64 fans. I finally tried my hand at remixing (add air quotes to the last word when it comes to my skills)! I got tired of waiting for a few songs to get the remix treatment as you guys do so well here, so a couple of days ago I bought a music editor and started playing around with my f...

Re: Why can't I have a CBM BASIC interpreter/compiler for PC
That would be nice! I use CBMprg Studio http://www.ajordison.co.uk/screenshots.html ---- you can get plenty of books from BombJack's site and most if not all have OCR'd text allowing you to cut and paste directly into CBM Studio. Zeros and other numbers can come out strange so you have to do some ma...

Re: Commodore 64 comes back for Xmas "exact replica chassis"
I understand the reaction --- but as an emulation fan I wouldn't mind having a system dedicated to emulation that looks like a C64 with the right keyboard placement. :) Kinda redundant with my original C64 and a C64TPC laptop sitting on a desk here, I suppose. So how would you feel about something l...

Re: C64 Walkabout Podcast (#13 - Knight 'n' Grail)
I enjoyed the show with Kenz, I like his vocal style. You have made me go and purchase Knight n Grail by the way :) Nice! Kenz will be happy to hear that, and it means I'm doing my part to get people enthused. That's what it's all about, playing C64 games and keeping the retro gaming community alive.

Re: C64 Walkabout Podcast (#13 - Knight 'n' Grail)
the worst one for that is the Kevin Smith podcast. We all love his films, but I think his ego is starting to inflate A LOT. I tried his podcast and its the most childish stupid drivel I have ever heard. Consists of a "topic" and of Kevin Smith say random things he thinks are hilarious and ...

By Geb's beard! Dunjonquest (Series) is a "KEEP". Thanks to whoever contributed to the references and the deletion debate - good things can happen on Wikipedia! :P (perhaps when PPOT plays at the Super Bowl halftime show they'll allow the band as well) The result was keep. King of ♥ ♦ ...

Re: C64 Walkabout Podcast (#12, Realm of Impossibility)
Thanks for the tip, I think I know the one. I get into all sorts of podcasts from the political to Old Time Radio dramas. Some of the long podcasts are tough to slog through with multiple hosts talking about their dogs, the weather, and anything but the topic at hand though! I do love the banter whe...

Re: The shape of the scene 10 years on
I remember a thread by robinson mason where he challenged us to have a go at more obscure sids and even started to push them up for us to listen (waz also did this with similar results) and largely it was ignored which I think is a shame, I think that could do with a resurrection and maybe give lit...

Re: C64 Walkabout Podcast (#12, Realm of Impossibility)
I wish I had that problem! I listen to podcasts on my daily commute, and more often than not find my selection lacking by mid-week. :) Perhaps I just need a wider selection than the 15-20 or so I currently subscribe to. I went ahead and deleted a LOT of old podcasts to make room for the new ones. Wa...
