Hi, There were only like 100 made of these in original hardware, and now anyone can own one.......eh......virtually. =) Actually, ARP built about 3000 2600s. Still a precious rarity nonetheless. I'll need to check the demos, if arturia has gotten the 'bite' of its sound right, I'll be a happy custom...

Doyen (Rondo Aristonia)

Hi everyone, my remix of this SID by Neil Baldwin (Baldwin_Neil/Doyen.sid) has just been released at RKO. The original always sort of reminded me of the copland-ish interludes played by the pit orchestra at the academy award shows, so I fired up the ol' gigasampler rig and did an orchestral renditio...

Well, I didn't think making music on a Linux workstation is very common. I just hoped to get some names of any software available so I could look around and possibly find something useful. Here goes: Try soundtracker as a pretty useable FT clone (I actually scored a game with it, and it didn't fail...

Taste of Tas Jingle Package

Well, not exactly a remix announcement, but it seems C64-related enough for me to post it here ;) If someone happens to be interested in the jingles from MC Tas' recent installment of the "Taste of Tas" series on Slay radio, they can be found here: http://www.wavemage.com/music/JM-TasteOfT...

Same here. Alas, that these evil days must be mine.

Nonetheless, nice christmas to y'all.

You're not.

Curse you, overloaded mailmen! (Sorry, Neil. No hard feelings. Now, put down that stamp gun. Eeeasyyyy...)

Rubicon - Main Titles

Hi there,

I've just released my remix of the main title tune from Rubicon (subtune 1), originally done by Jeroen Tel. It's up at RKO and my website (<a href="http://www.wavemage.com">http://www.wavemage.com</a>). Tell me what you think. :)

Greetings,

This'n? http://www.kvr-vst.com/get.php?mode=show&id=42 Nope, I had one of his earlier synths in mind (IIRC, his old VSTi plug-ins were just called "mda synth [number]"). It had two oscillators that produced an adjustable mixture between several base waveforms, so it felt a bit like an...

Re: FutureComposer-style sounds on PC

Or does anyone have any ideas what other programs/instruments could make that kind of chip-tune sounds? Well, at least QuadraSID gets close... Hi, one of the earlier freeware VSTi synths by maxim (mda-vst.com) featured a pretty wacky additive synthesis which may be well-suited for a lot of chip-tun...
