Re: Rob Hubbard to receive honorary degree

And not a day too soon, I may add.

Pity it's only honourary. But merited all the same.

Run some SIDs through quality orchestral romplers for Kontakt and the like - to hear and appreciate afresh -and you really hear just how good these guys were.

Oh, I know! Re: Updated tutorial on digital mastering.

I like playing with the chords or adding new bass but sometimes I add too much and I have to simplify because there are too many sounds simultaneously and I wonder what should be the best way to diferentiate them and keep them "audible". You're welcome. If you find several parts merging, ...

They sound fine!

What area do you have doubts about? The arrangement or mix? The quality itself is clear and without clutter.

Re: Astro Wars by Grandstand - a remix?

That does sound very French disco, yes.

I can't say what's art but I know what I like. And I've very much liked the traditional rock band approach to playing SID tunes.

And look at this guy, firing his SID machine with guitar: https://youtu.be/_xeFdR-aVNM?t=337

Any takers? Lads?

The Iplayer of it should be up now, and there's a link in there. The trailer's also good, putting familiar tunes through all our 8-bit stuff.
