Re: Retrograde remixes
For me, Steve Rowlands is one of the more under-rated C64 composers. His tunes were consistently excellent, funky and appropriate. Half the reason I completed Retrograde, Creatures & Cyberdyne Warrior multiple times was simply to listen to his stomping tracks!! It is a pity that he is largely ov...

Re: Hidden HVSC Gems.?
Thanks for this. I've recently added about half of these to my BOV playlist and looking forward to checking out the rest when I get a chance!Waz wrote:Just a few to get you started (one per musician to make it fair):

Re: Hidden HVSC Gems.?
Slowly working through HVSC and every now and again I come across some little gem. How about sharing your 'hidden gem'?? It's nice to get away from the orthodox musicians and get to hear something different. HVSC\MUSICIANS\J\Jammer\Mr_Marvellous.sid Kinda funky in a daft punk sort of way I've been ...

Re: What's your fave C64 orchestral remix?
Hmmm. Times of Lore, Stormlord & Thanatos from Remix 64 vol 2, Schneider's Galway Symphony & Supremacy/Myth combo, Miguel F Ettema's 1942 and Delta & WAR on BIT3 are the obvious ones to spring to mind.

Re: Drum n Bass / Dance Remix Suggestions??
Hi - Are you still looking for suggestions? There's loads of dance / trance style remixes out there, though not so many techno and drum 'n' bass. I could list the remixes I am aware of if that is any help to you.

Re: Sub Hunter Intro Music
Hi Kenz, Many thanks for your reply and for pointing me in the right direction. The Psytronik special was excellent (I've listened to it several times!) and it prompted me to dig out all the relevant SIDS - I just couldn't find this particular track, though I must admit that Monchatre's version is b...

Re: History of Turrican
Turrican 2 - 3rd shoot-em-up level (3-3 or 4-3?). After navigating the maze like stage, you near the end. The music changes. The boss flies by in 3-parts, then returns with gatling guns at the ready. The music changes again in sync with the boss unleashing those gatlings. Parallax scrolling whizzing...

Sub Hunter Intro Music
Hi All - hope I'm posting this question in the right section! I've just finished listening to the OMAHM Psytronik special - for me, the best episode of OMAHM since Series 1. During the show, Kenz plays the intro tune from the Amstrad version of Sub Hunter. I've never played this game, but I got hand...

Re: Introduce yourself here!
Hi, New to the forum, though not new to Remix64. Chanced upon some C64 remixes back in 2000, though back then, I preferred listening to original SIDs and I guess I've been building my SIDplay playlist ever since! About 70% of the music I listen to is either game soundtracks and "chip music"...
