Re: Roland JV-80 expansion board
i'm more inclined to believe it's simply dead. its inserted correct, and there is no automatic anything happening when i turn the synth on. likely, the exp board is simply just dead. its original from 1992 that i bought in 2004 on ebay cheap. no firmware is needed. the manual says almost nothing, ju...

I don't have much training with step recording. Can you try doing this, and tell me how it ended up ? : Enter 8 notes, no pause, no length, just C2-C3-D3-G3 etc..... Then use step function to make duration on each note, then use step to apply expression. or something.. Try if you can, then let me kn...

1 Key edit - HELP needed
Hi, Using Cubase, or Cakewalk (or other recommended), I'd like to do this: Put in notes as they are to be, c-3 d-4 etc....... in a pearl like row. No duration, expression etc. Just hit the keys I need for the melody, and then they are all there, after one another. Then, make the duration and spaces ...

Actually, Richard Joseph's code is not bad at all. It just looks like it was created with a macro assembler or developed based on elaborate paper-work. Lots of absolute indexed addresses in addition to a multitude of zero-page registers and pointers. Makes it appear less modular than it is actually...

One thing that struck me is how this event is unique in that there's no separation of the original creators and their fans. Everyone mixes freely, unlike other events where the fans are deliberately separated from the artists. In many ways the C64 remix scene and the BIT Live events in particular a...

As (a higher going theme) the highest note in a Hubbard tune was hit by a solo, something came in my mouth and in my chest, and I took the deepest breath I ever had. I didn't know I could be affected this strongly, I thought I had sorted out all my feelings, but whenever a Hubbard tune get's transfo...

Thanks Chris for doing it, and the people helping out, the Kenz-Boz-Skitz gang, and Slay Radio - Slaygon, Kwed etc. etc. And all musicians, but.. Especially Benn. If we didn't have at least one of those guys, what's the whole point ? I loved the Mr. Death scenes - you know.. But I could hear from Be...
