Re: IGNORE! Machine did this instead of 'reply to thread'

I totally hear you... I was actually born in NJ. When I moved, people asked where I came from. I would say "New Jersey," and they'd say "You mean New Joisey?" and I'd want to punch them. As far as I know, I was the only one in Florida with a C64 so there was definitely contempt.

Pretty epic so far! On a related note, is WIP "work in progress?"

I liked that; it has a rich and complex sound. It's a bit slow to start, but I understand that is you paying homage to the original... just means I can't drive fast while listening to it, haha.

Re: IGNORE! Machine did this instead of 'reply to thread'

redneck Farmers in the Deep South of America were always out in the sun, working hard. So to have a red neck was a sign of being an important part of the rural community. Nowadays of course it's become an insult, aimed at those with outdated views/politics... Oddly enough, redneck/white collar come...

Re: Spy vs. Spy... spectral ballance?

The treble did sound echoey. If that's what you want, you nailed it, but if it's actual echo, maybe just add some rugs or blankets to the walls? :)

Re: WIP . Lightforce (back2basics)..

The googledocs worked for me, I just saved the file first. Anyway I thought it was very cool! I liked that thing you used for the bass, it sounded kind of like playing an elastic band; that was a nice divergence from the norm. Very spacey, indeed.

Very cool! I've never seen a facebook page with songs on it before. Definitely a "Like." And speaking of which, Sleeper was a spiffy tune.

I'm certainly not the purist-type that you're afraid of; I always think it's cool when I notice another mix... in the mix.

Re: Random Post.

That's pretty neat... I've been in the US my whole life, so I missed out on most of the 90's British TV, aside from Absoltuely Fabulous.

Reminds me of those "classic" anime tunes from the 90's. It's a fun listen.

Excellent advice all around, thanks! Also, congrats to you, AcidBlock, getting some exposure for your remix.

(Chris, I'm not sure the best way to PM you, so I sent you an email from my gmail account. Was I off-base?)

Re: Permission for tunes for a video project

Hi again, one and all. I don't mean to "bump" my thread, but since there hasn't been much response, I would like to pose a new question to whoever might come across this... Have there been other projects that have successfully used some of the remixers' work? I plan on messaging some artis...
