Great remix Romeo. I have to admit that you had me stumped when it came to guessing what it was going to be but it all came flooding back straight away as soon as it started. It's a really good departure from the style of your other mixes but still another fantastic one. Can't wait to hear Remix #6....

Thanks Chris!!

Just wanted to say a public "thanks" to Chris for the batch of ringtones I bought earlier this week for my Nokia 6610i. It's only a crappy 4-voice phone but they still sound pretty good. I ended up going for a package of four - Commando, Crazy Comets, Comic Bakery and Last Ninja and I'd re...

I had something similar happen to me when I was writing for Amiga Pro. One of my regular columns was a VCD round-up and if I remember right I did a 4-page spread on a selection that had been released from Phillips at the time. The bastards from Amiga Pro then sold the work onto CD32 Gamer (which, ad...

Managed to listen to it now - I know what you mean about the melody and the chords - there are definitely a lot of "bum" notes in there!

The bass line and drums seem really flat as well - they seem to sap all of the energy out of the song completely.

I know Winamp can handle MOD and XM as standard and there's a plug-in that can handle SIDs as well but I don't know which version of Winamp that it works with called SIDamp.

*EDIT

Bollocks - just re-read your post and realised you were on about *THAT* sort of MP3 player!!

It's basically a commercial thing. It's easy enough to get a CD pressed and release something with C64 mixes or inspired tracks on, but getting it into the stores in another thing altogether. Without the muscle or backing of a major record label, it's nigh on impossible. If something doesn't get rad...

For it to work it needs a core team of people who are going to be committed (or who would probably need to be committed afterwards!!). I'm definitely in as I've said in the other threads so if someone more closely involved at the heart of it gets in touch and gives me a list of things they need doin...

I've tried my fundraising thing to help get some cash for Chris to cover his losses (see my other posts on here) and had no response yet, not even emails asking about it - so I think the interest in another one is either drifting for a bit or it's going behind the scenes for now.

I'm starting to regret selling my C64GS... I sold mine about two years ago to Allan from Commodore Scene. It was still mint in it's box and even had the sticker covering the cartridge port and everything was still bagged and everything!! Managed to get £100 for it!
