Re: WIP Ocean Loader 3

OK... So I'm getting it now. FYI, I'm using Renoise as my DAW as it just plain wrong to do Commodore tracks in anything else - top down or not at all! I have spent the last week and a bit locked away EQing - I'd EQd the mushiness from individual instruments, but this made little difference, and than...

Re: WIP Ocean Loader 3

I am aware that the mixing is not particularly good, but it won't get any better without feedback and advice form much more accomplished and experienced people, such as yourselves - hence me being here. I've cut many of the frequencies where the instruments clash, but there's still a huge amount wor...

Re: WIP Ocean Loader 3

Hey Peter, Thanks for your feedback - I've really struggled getting the lead to stand out, particularly at the lower key. I've upped the volume a little and done a tiny bit of EQing to give it more presence. I have tried several different leads but nothing seemed to quite fit. I may have got carried...

WIP Ocean Loader 3

Seven years after doing the original track, I've finally gotten around to mixing it. I've listened to it thousands of times and tweaked it at least a million, but I'm not adding any value as far as my frequency limited ears go. Is there any fundamentals I should be addressing? (bearing in mind I'm a...

Re: Project X (pre-release)

Beefier drums and I've reduced the reverb considerably and given it more sharpness in the mid-range.

Hows it sound now?

Re: Project X (pre-release)

All feedback is helpful :)
Are these drums a bit beefier?

Don't quite understand what you mean about the piano - is it the pitch or something else?

Project X (pre-release)

Here's my Project X remix in Renoise - I believe it's finished but I can't master for toffee, so further work may be required.

Very odd and equally interesting to my ears.
Really good sound!

Ever thought of remixing Cannon Fodder?

Re: Introduce yourself here!

So in search for a new Forum, since the "RomUlation" Forum is flooded with Kids and massive nonsense referable to "what they call-"-RETRO, I thought I give this one over here a try. Good call. This forum is *packed* with mature people. Mature is a bit ambitious.....

Remix Fail!

I've finally completed my Jesus on E's Amiga remix after porting it into Renoise and rewriting half the tracks, then applying the effects and spending every day for a week on mixdown, trying to get the volumes right. I've just come to submit the song to Amigaremix, when I noticed this little bit of ...

Re: Renoise 2.5 (Beta) kicks ass... imho...

I finally purchased Renoise as I've found a way to import MED Modules. I cannot begin to express how impressive it is!!!! :worship: I discovered the sample sync today, which changes the tempo of a loop/sample to match the song tempo automattically - awesome for syncing vocals in a track or when work...

Re: Renoise 2.5 (Beta) kicks ass... imho...

I tried renaming the extension from MED to MOD but get a file error on loading. Also tried saving from within MED to a Mid format but the file size is only 1k and it loads without error - only a completely blank song. Renoise is rediculously good and if I can load my back catalogue of tracks in ther...

Re: Renoise 2.5 (Beta) kicks ass... imho...

Finally spent some time with Renoise and boy! Awesome!

I love the VSTi automation - previously I've never been able to change the cutoff frequency for a particular VSTi through a track ... Until Renoise!

If only there was a way to import MED modules and not just MODs.
