It was my privelige to have met Richard at Brighton 2003. I had to tell him that his music had been very influential on me when I started-out writing for the 64. That's not something I could have said to any of the other 64 composers there at the time. He was a true original. I only wish I had taken...

It was some years after choosing to use Basil Poledouris' music for the Robocop 2 title that I heard the soundtrack to Big Wednesday, and it made me realise how great he could be.

MoM was the first RH SID I heard, and it made quite an impression. It's absolutely dark IMO. The dark sections are in fact absent from the Larry Fast original - which I think reveals RH's intentions for the piece. The classical violin section toward the end (very 'up' harmonically) is RH original to...

Thanks Mark, Benn, Jon, Jeremy - sound guys, and lots of fun to play with. My shoulders were going as I tried not to LOL playing the backing for Benn's Tolkien-esque Spellbound intro. If only I was awake enough  to play-off you more on Pimple etc. - perhaps next time  And a big salute to...

 God I look miserable on that promo pic.

Rest assured that i'm not such a gloomy fella in reality, or so i'm told.

I used to write gloomy music though

Should be a nice change, playing classics by composers that are still alive.

I might even raise a smile.

Thanks Liontamer, I will aim for early April as a release date, and probably do something from G&G. I remember the first time I heard Tim's music. It was in one of the ocean programmer's offices (I think it was Paul Hughes). They were listening to Black Lamp. Paul commented on how talented Tim w...

Drums

In lieu of hiring Steve Gadd, i'm keen to acquire a virtual drum kit or drum sample library for my work.

So far i've auditioned Artist Drums, and Reason Kits 2.

I'm asking around various forums, and thought you guys might like to discuss.

Nice suggestion, danceaway. It's been a while since I played my flute (although I had it refurbished only last year). The one thing i'm lacking right now is a decent drummer or drum sample library, which is an absolute must for Body Slam. Any ideas?

Still liking your CD BTW.

I would like someone to suggest a piece for me to do. Oh, and a date for completion would be useful, otherwise I just won't work hard enough. The pressure helps me - maybe I should consider writing game music again

Your requests please! :?

My wife got me a PS2. We didn't want to wait for the PS3. I'm getting back into gaming after about 10 years :D Can't wait for Okami and Katamari this year - they look wonderful.

Horace, are you referring to old (vintage) Doctor Who, or the new stuff?

Should be fun

I'm trying to get in touch with my old colleagues Geoff and Tim to persuade them to come along. If anyone recognizes me on the day, then please -do- talk to me; i'm dead friendly, and I promise I won't bite. I just don't want to feel like a no-mates ginger berk stood around with flat diet-coke in ha...
