Hello again from an old, forgotten member.

Hello again.

It's been years since I last uploaded a remix here. Life took its toll.

I recently started checking out remix64 again.

Any suggestions for remixes to listen to?

Any suggestions for SID music to be remixed?

Thank you.

Question

Hi there, I know it may sound inane but I've been looking all over Remix64 and haven't been able to find a "donate" option. Any help?

Re: How do YOU make your music?

I guess I'm one of those guys who mostly stick to the old-style techniques to make music. Right, let's see... Software Used: 1) Cubase SX or Nuendo to record live, cut 'n paste and mix 2) Pro 53 3) B4 4) Fruity Loops (rarely and only to create drum loops) Equipment 1) A stereo mic for acoustic instr...

Re: Voting for a remix: objectivity and the like

I certainly agree with the comments above. But it's getting harder and harder to come across someone who takes effort, arrangement and ability under consideration so as to vote for a track more on the objective side. It is indeed that "What? Polka? Sod this!" attitude that can be quite dis...

Re: John Barry 1933 - 2011

One of the most underrated composers, John Barry was capable of making memorable music. He was very prolific and the consistency of his work is remarkable. Not to mention that he covered virtually any genre. Try listening to the surf madness of "Beat Girl", then switch to the cinematic the...

Voting for a remix: objectivity and the like

I've been browsing the new remix releases on the site (haven't done that for a while) and I must say I came across some really nice stuff; there are remixes and renditions encompassing many genres and some of them are very good. Yet, what's stricken me as really peculiar is the criteria on which som...

Re: Most stupid comment(s) you've had for a remix?

" rossa shouts: Does anybody remind mod called j ust for blues ? Dizzy cncd I think.. Well, however good mix guitar loops ecc, enjoyable" This is the only stupid comment I've ever got. Leaving out the horrible use of the language, it refers to my live guitar solo on my "Bossa 'n Gobli...

Cheers for the good words people!

It's really helpful for someone so frustrated like me...

It seems that, generally, things are getting worse for anybody seeking a proper job nowadays...

Relocation

Hi there! I know I'm not renowned for being a frequent visitor at this forum (I have no connection at home, you see and, above all, my work literally consumes my entire time...) but I decided to post a topic since a series of unfortunate events urged me to make some terminal decisions, lately. I won...

This is very good, mellow stuff. A bit 80s but in a good sense

You are a feedback guy, aren't you? That fender feedback adds a lot to the atmosphere of the track.

Nice track.

Perhaps my reaction was a bit on the "pissed off" side and now I feel calmed down. However, the discussion went on to some very interesting aspects. Trace's remark was right: " If someone likes for example Hardrock and vote on a Trance remix and say "This is not my kind of music ...

Guys, you are absolutely right. What pisses me off though is that some people do no care to read the tune info (Id3v). The drums I make are programmed (I am not a drummer) and I try to make them sound as real as possible. But, guitars and bass are played by me. How can it be so hard to realise that?...
