Re: The shape of the scene 10 years on
Remix scene in 10 years? It will be something else. Change is the only constant thing in life! Anyway, I agree with everything Makke said (and thanks for the reference, btw! - It's always nice to be remembered by someone somewhere!)... I'm in it for doing something that nobody else has. Recently, I ...

Re: 5 Best Pc games According to you.
I guess I'm an odd one:
* Sibelius
* Cubase
* Sound Forge
* Wavelab
* Matlab
...they get me all the thrills I need from a PC.

Very well played, Gamml!
I like it. A lot! There's plenty of C64-people that can help you achieve a great "rock" sound, so feel free to share your works!

Re: I want to slow my Commodore down
There's no poke that will fix "all" games. But, a hardware hack would work: Replace the oscillator on the motherboard. Unfortunately, that would most certainly make the TV output garbage, as the TV output also would be 25Hz instead of 50. So, the best idea would be downloading the sourceco...

Done. Although, I really don't have the time for endless loops right now, so I ctrl-c after the first iteration.

Re: Darn MIDI timing on PCs!
My synchronization trick in 1994 using Cubase on a laptop mac (PowerBook 100 if I remember correctly - black&white screen, 6MB RAM, 68k based processor - loved it!) was to make sure that the "important" midi events always came "first" on the beat. All pitch-bends, chords, etc...

Re: c64
Very nice! To me, it sounds like "Jarre greatest sound effects" together with some early 2000'ish euro-disco chords. But, with vocoder effects like that, who needs anything else? :-D As usual, Carsten: Finish it!!! If you want to make it even more perfect you can save those ideas for your ...

Re: SID Tunes You Gave Up on Remixing?
Interesting topic, Robinson!
Thing on a spring. A lovely tune that I've always wanted to do a remix of - but I still haven't figured out how I ever could do it. I guess the SID is too funny already, and there's no place in it for my talents...

Re: What is your big goal for 2009 ??!!
2008 was a good year indeed for me. And, boringly enough, my new-years resolution will be the same this year as the previous five years, and it's a really easy one: I will not start smoking during this year.
Enjoy this year, it will be awesome if you let it!
