Gem'X by Chris Huelsbeck

Post by Markus Schneider »

Here is Chris Huelsbeck's Gem'X in a very light & emotional way. If you hate orchestral stuff, please do not download !

My tribute to Chris for sending me TFMX for free in 1990

Great work.

I'm not sure it's "light" though! It gets too severe in the middle to warrant that adjective :)

Jeezus. You can tell its a great... No, awesome remix if it makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. The same is true of the sid tune too though, so... Uh. Never mind. This rules. Full stop.
Great, another set of strings ruined...

Great stuff! A film score! :D :D :D

Hmm...dunno which tune was Chris Huelsbeck's Gem'X based on, or was it copied/remixed later on (maybe on Amiga)? Sounds familiar...

I know those that will follow are the most hated words by musicians, since don't give any advice in how to enhance their works.

But, i can only say that this is wonderful.

I simply don't feel to be any close to be qualified to write other comments on this track.

With every mix you just get better and better. I just can't believe the rapid progress you've made over the last few years.

Fabulous work markus :)

Thanks to all for the comments. I am glad you all like it much. Chris Huelsbeck also liked it :D

Perhaps there's some time for a second remix this year.

Nice remix, Markus! You have really entered the classical music genre, and I love what I hear! The arrangement is dynamic and smooth, just as DHS says, it's wonderful!
When it comes to the mastering, I'd prefer a more "radio-oriented" mastering, a little bit louder and a little bit less dynamic. But, then it wouldn't be as "pure" as it is now. Well, what it's all about is taste... and we all know that tastes differ.

Anyway... great remix, Markus! :D
