Help: searching for the right SID

Post by Markus Schneider »

Well, I was sidbrowsing through the nearly whole HVSC 5.7 and looking for a real dark and slow non repetitive SID with some good melodies. Any chance someone has a good template for me ?

Driller is pretty good, though a bit light on melody, I guess.

I'm sure someone else has a less well-known suggestion :)

BTW: no word from the Dragon's Lair people yet...

I'll take a listen to Dark Side. Thanks.

Know this very well and I think it is a very good composition in the beginning and from 03:00 tho it isn't what I look for. Always thought of an orchestral treatment.

Shogoon's 'Zone Of Darkness' music always came across to me as dark & melodic.

The intro (for which all the music comes from) certainly portrays a dark, mysterious theme to the game that was supposed to be released but never actually appeared in a complete game form.

I'm very disappointed with that attitude.
I can assure you it is much, much more important than that.'

I wholeheartedly agree. It's a really atmospheric suite of tunes, and a real shame that the game never got finished.

<hint>Be nice to see this done with moody dark orchestral themes that I'm sure Markus could do very well </hint>

Aren't they all borrowed classical tunes? Renders them unuseable for remixing (as C64 remixes), huh? :?:
