Thanks for the comments

Just want to say thanks for the comments (shouts) on my newly released R-Type remix, I appreciate when people comment in specifics what they like/dislike.

No more crunch lead sound then, Tas :-)

Heheh, no I mean it - I really appreciate comments I can actually use for something (not that I don't appreciate the "You are God" emails from people) :-)

No problem. Tend to speak my mind, me. On the whole it was pretty promising, the guitars were very nice and all that, just the lead stuck out as not quite being there. Maybe (time permitting of course) you could do a v2 version with the changed lead and see what we think?

After all, constructive criticism is fair, negativity isn't, right?

Right on the money.

Anyway I've had lots of very nice comments and emails, but also at least 4 people mentioning the lead sound putting them off a bit (apart from the intentionally lame voice over, heheh).

I guess it basically comes down to me making music for myself, and enjoying when other people like it too.

However, the producer in me likes to please too, so any comments are truly appreciated, it makes me strive for something better next time.

I like it. A lot. Love the summery guitars, and the repeated voiceover.

Hahaha, yeah I know what ;-) Too lazy to change it now, but no more of this lead sound then. I was a bit uneasy with the lead sound for the main theme but I like it in the solo parts so I kept it. Guess I can't hide anytning for you people! Argh

Thanx Merman, glad you like it!

..also I got an email from Chris Huelsbeck saying how he liked the remix, so that's quite nice. 8)
