SILKWORM and SWIV

Post by Infamous »

Ive tried and tried to recapture the sound of both these very different tunes, being a big big fan of both original games (silkworm was probably my most fav game of all......specially when a friend was involved....the team work on that rivals still that on team fortress n so forth lol)

So me being the forward speaking lil english man i am Im calling on someone to take up the baton and say YES! YES GOD DAMN IT!
I will go now and make a silkworm remix and it will be good...........

Swiv, id just like to see someone try and do that 1st tune cos she aint easy like a brooklyn whore to a millionare with no morals oh no!
shes the musical equivelant of the holy mother mary with iron underpants.

ah well.....i shall sit here and pray for sanity now
and see ya'll on the other side, wherever that may be :D
You think your big time?....YOUR GONNA DIE BIG TIME

Silkworm - two player was fun, the jeep was annoying when playing on your own, and why was the enemy counter in hex?

SWIV - some nice ideas, but very difficult. Fairly standard Martin Walker tunes, some nice bits - definitely an industrial/military snare sort of remix would suit it

Yeah......im doing snare (Subtune 5) and industrial clangy noises are definetly the order of the day....mr walker did like his epic wibble noises didnt he......dont explain rodland though lol

as for your sids, they come under the same name u using on this message board, cos ill go have a look see if anythings there i could feel capable of emulating, how'd u do your own sids? can it be done on pc or would i have to dig out my ex girlfriend (yeap i loved my c64) and have a bash with that?.

ah well heres still hoping someone will take up the baton eh :-)

Thanks for the offer INFAMOUS.

There are 102 SIDs of mine in update 34 of HVSC..

If you want to get hold of the lot, find Merman's Kingdom:

http://www.geocities.com/andrewrfisher/ ... ngdom.html

The download page has three options:
Best of - best 125 tunes
2002 - my work from 2002, plus a Scene World folder
Full - the full archive, all 800+ SIDs

I compose my SIDs the old-fashioned way - on a C64
Actually, I've used Ubiks, Music Assembler, Falco Paul and now DMC.
All those files are SIDPlay btw

Send me a Yahoo message if you want to talk about it
