Go to http://www.deliplayer.com and you've got what you need.Glyn R Brown wrote:What player do i need to listen to these Original Amiga tunes ?
Deliplayer is the successor of the famous amiga Delitracker, and can play *every* amiga tune ever made.
LHA is a compression alghorythm very popular on Amiga, directly derived from Huffman's LZH.Glyn R Brown wrote: I downloaded one & it's an LHA File . What's LHA ????
You see i'm usless when it comes to PC's and all this computer jargon stuff !!

More correctly put, LZH is the acronym for Lempel/Ziv/Huffman, a compression code by Lempel/Ziv which adds Huffman encoding. Whether LHA always used LZH algorithm instead of LZSS (Lempel/Ziv/Storer/Szymanski), is beyond my memory.DHS wrote:LHA is a compression alghorythm very popular on Amiga, directly derived from Huffman's LZH.
If you register it, it can make a wav-file for you. Another trick is ofcourse setting the output device to a digital-only device on your soundcard and record the digital device thenAnonymous wrote:DHS > Can this Deliplayer convert the tunes to WAV ??
Just like to know before i try it out
Oh, and just noticed, wrong thread here...

I wish there would be a player like Eagle Player on Amiga. Eagle Player is more or less "plug-in based", where each format has it's own player, and as far as I know each plug-in can be modified and improved by anyone (dunno if that's true though, that's just the way I've come to see things and is not based on facts).
Delitracker on the Amiga is (was?) also plug-in based. Individual files with players for different formats.
If I've understood correctly so is the PC's "Deliplayer".

Yeah, but Makke's right - it's not as good as Eagleplayer in regard to how many formats it plays. Delitracker was the same - nicer looking than Eagleplayer, and a great piece of software, but not quite as good. I've got a large zipfile full of game/demo songs from my old 1200 and I can't play them in Deliplayer. Don't get me wrong, it IS a fine piece of software, it's just a shame that a few well known game-mus formats aren't supported. I thought with Deliplayer 2 they would be, but alas, no...
