Hey putzi,

I never knew the c64 version to be honest, but the Amiga-music blew me away, so when I finally did a remix, I discovered by chance that the c64-music was the same... 8)

Let's add Panther (c64) ----> Sidewinder (Amiga).

or, for example, Menace (same tunes on both machines).

2Klang: I'm not sure what you mean - do you mean Giana Sisters et al shouldn't be covered as an Amiga remix because they're already been covered as a C64 remix?

Also, Led Storm has quite a different soundtrack on the Amiga...

IMO most Amiga versions of C64 music (not all of course) either sound a lot different or have a different flavor anyway. For example, Amiga Turrican vs C64 Turrican - totally different.

Again IMO, I think Amiga-remixes of previously covered C64 songs would be OK, as long as the remixer is really basing the remix from the Amiga version. If there is a case where he/she is obviously basing it on the C64 version, that would need to be pulled.

hmm, our well known friend 'Honorabili' did a remix
of Faery Tale (tranquila) and in the id3 tag you can
read that this remix is based on a c64 sid....

btw. the tune is real crap.... it sounds very detuned... :roll:

Not exactly! You maybe know I used your HPP2001-remix in a SixtyFour-megamix, and some month after that, I had a listen to the SID again and had that strange feeling there is something in your remix that isn´t in the SID. So the feeling was right.
Anyway, it is only a slight difference and I really love your remix of HPP :-)
It´s groovy!
