Tulip verkoopt dochter Commodore

Judging from the Babelfish thing and the content on the Commodoreworld-site (at least what I remember of it, since there are now errors when you click on some things), I guess the "music" context comes from the fact that they were trying to built a iTunes-like online store and sols some portable players under the Commdore brand - obviously things one would associate, heh.

I just hope the direct-to-tv joystick doesn't get lost in that deal, I'd really like to get one as the games selection is pretty strong.

Tulip sells subsidiary company commodore

Computer manifacturer Tulip declared on monday it is going to sell it´s subsidiary company Commodore for 24 million euro to the american Yeahronimo Media Ventures.

Both companies have signed a principle agreement for the transfer of the famous commodore name. Yeahronimo is an american enterprise with a sales-office in holland. Tulip wants to focus after the sale on it´s remaining bussiness components.
The profit of the 24 million is partly related on the future profit of commodore. The complete ammount must be transferred before oktober 2010. If the sale goes thought, Tulip will receive 4 million this year.

Music products.

Commodore started a new life with Tulip earlier this year in the music bussiness. The enterprise came with a range of musicproducts on the market. They simultaniously launched a new sales channel on the internet, where, apart from portable musicplayers also music, games and merchandising are going to be sold. With this ressurrection the company hopes to relive the old days.

In the 80s commodore reached it's peak with the c64. Today this 'home computer' with 30 million units sold still is the most sold computer ever.

It's not significantly different from the babelfish translation, but here you go.

Good luck.

I'm guessing by music, they were going to become yet another front-end for OD2, rather than start selling SID music. Not even Tulip would have been dumb enough to start selling SIDs.
