The effects sound like the ones in "Do you remember how it felt" by Bliss of Fairlight Music [1]. They seem a bit odd there and here as well but they make it sound a bit childish/funny in a way, which probably suits the song/game.
The remix sounds a bit simplistic to me, but basically okay. I hope this is warmup for Fist.
