Trying to find Battle Squadron
The game over/high score tune is superb and I'm currently trying to do a remix. However I can't seem to find it anywhere that works. The tune is an 'lha' file (I think), but deliplayer (latest version) doesn't want to play it.
Anyone got this tune working on deliplayer ?

.cust files can be played in DeliPlayer.
I agree with you -- the Battle Squadron game-over music is superb; I've loved it since I first heard it back in '89 or so. Another great tune -- which I've been unable to find an original Amiga file for -- is the opening song from Hybris. Hybris and Battle Squadron were a couple of great Amiga shoot-em-ups; I killed many an hour on both.
Good luck with your remix! I found it to be a bit tricky with some pitchbending and such, but hopefully your skills are a bit more advanced than mine. I look forward to hearing it.

Hybris and many other Amiga game tunes can be found at http://exotica.fix.no/ The custom module versions of Battle Squadron tunes seem to work with Deliplayer (the lha-file from Exotica has other versions too) Btw, I'm also I big fan of Hybris tunes and Battle Squadron hi-score music...

Thanks hoomish, if you have them in .cust form and can spare a minute, my address is gcameron@neteze.com
I can download them from the exotica site too, but I'm not familiar with .lha file formats. Is that a compressor of some kind?

LhA is the most commnly used file compressor on Amiga. There are MS-DOS versions of it, but I have not found one that works with long filenames. I use ZipItFast program to handle lha-files in Windows. It can be found at http://www.zipitfast.com.

No problem. As I wrote in an earlier post, the best place to get Amiga music in the original format (and sometimes in one or two different formats) is http://exotica.fix.no/ Also, if you want something to unzip everything from zip to lha to arj, a really good and very easy to use program is Ultimate Zip at http://www.ultimatezip.com/
