Remixes for my "party playlist"

Post by pfk »

Hola!

I'm having a big birthday party saturday night, and I'd like to include some C64 remixes in my regular "party playlist". Virtually none of my guests are C64 geeks, so I'd only want to play remixes that are suitable for the general public :)

So, what remixes would you play at a regular party - for a crowd that likes pretty much anything from thrash to trance, but knows nothing about SID tunes?

Come on, give me your best suggestions!

"Dizzy_the_Adventurer_Mix_Dizz_OC_ReMix.mp3" by Makke.
Could be music in a teen movie like "Amercian Pie" and nobody will remember who "Dizzy & his girlfriend" are.

Glyn R. Brown - Rastan
Glyn R. Brown - Gordian Tomb Adventures
Markus Schneider - Lord Of The Rings

First three that spring to mind for me, as well as the previously suggested weebl's delta+.

Basically anything by Machinae Supremacy. I'd highly recommend Sidology Episode 1.

Rayza - Oldschool (Wax To Binary Mix)

Done way back in 2000, but still one of my all time favorite remixes, and a bloody good tune on its own.

actually lagerfeldt's robocop is probably the MOST commercially acceptable tune thats still a close "remix" of a track ive heard on rko .. so i recommend that too.

also - angel - lagerfeldt .. i might hate it like satan enjoy's using a trident.. but theres no escaping the fact its very very well produced and will cause alot of \o/ in your house.

You serious Paul?

He's having a party, not a sleep in. No offence, the mixes are absolutely fantastic, but he wants music that is more traditional party stuff I think. DHS' Gaina Sisters springs to mind. And maybe Lagerfeldts' R-Type too. :D Maybe my Amiga 2 Turrican mix, if I can join in on Lagerfeldts' sleek 'n shameless self-plugging.

My suggestions:

Play by Numbers - Calm
Jurek Raben - Flying
Jurek Raben - Supernerd Lightforce Remix

... in my opinion these tracks are somehow "mainstreamy" ....

:-) I know Robocop 3 was played at an open air trance festival in Germany, very funny. Don't know what people thought of it though..
