FRONTIER - ELITE 2 Intro Remake

Hi guys,

Just thought i would drop you a line to let you know my Frontier intro remake is complete.

If you remember the intro from the amiga where the ship lands on earth, is attacked and then has a fight. At the time it was awe inspiring 3D stuff.

This intro is something i have always wanted to do but it took a few years for the idea to kick in and actually make a start!

That's gthe best thing I've seen since the Wizball video - absolutely top notch guys!

It's very faithful to the original too - bloody impressive (as someone else said )

Also, the remixed music really out to be uploaded somewhere - it's great!

yeah its pretty impressive, shame they didnt get the guys that did this to update elite the 1st time around (remember frontier2?.... OH... DEAR).

Still theres always elite 3 to look forward too now and i bet it'll look as smart if not better than this and THAT will make me drool even more than this lil beauty .

made me scrape out uae and fiddle about with frontier for a while... god why aint games like that anymore?... tragic.

heh technically yeah it SHOULD be elite 4... but braben is obviously trying to forget the encounters thing.. cos he keeps calling it 3 himself and seeing as he's the guy making it we cant really argue.. he might stop making it.... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! lol.

i am so looking forward to it.. though i really do have a sneaky feeling he's gonna make an immense cock up with it and it'll just be a tits out version of freelancer...

gosh that brought back fond memories of the game

Hey guys, I'm the chap who made the music for this remake. Thanks a lot for all your comments, I had a ball doing it and am quite keen for other remix projects. If anyone has a particular favourite tune they'd like a remix of let me know and I'll see what I can knock up!

heh... seeing this forum made me giggle a bit because in the first few months of starting to make music myself I made a bubble bobble remix under the handle The Dripsta... it was fecking awful but got quite a lot of distribution and I bet someone on this forum has it
