Kefrens Desert Dream Part 3

Post by PsychNerD »

I started working on the 2nd half of the 3rd part of this demo. I will try to do the same with the second part and next assemble the 2 parts before submitting it. I think there is no need to do the fist part since FeekZoid has already done it pretty well.

No VSTi/DXi has been used in the making of this track.

Any comments?

Very cool!

And also great relief, was under intense pressure to do the other two pieces!

Mebbe I'll do the other one now ;)

Can I make a suggestion tho - the bassdrum seems a little samey, but with the bass cranked up it *is* good.

I had got into my head to accentuate the drumloop in the original with a live sounding rock kit...

finally my favorite part done.. thanks.. now we have a set ^^.

be nice though tbh if you did all 3 peices in YOUR style.. aiming that at both of you though... it'd be damn interesting to hear the contrasts and the desert dream series deserves an updating.

and psych you <bleeping> OWN! .. this is cooler than the fonz in a fridge in alaska.

You see my problem with that is that I think the music of the other two parts is fantastic anyway, the instruments dont really need updating - what was achieved with 4 channels was fantastic, and I had a hard time doing anything more than re-creating the instruments from scratch then rebuilding the tune - and I didnt feel this brought enough to warrant release. This wasnt the case with the first part for me, since it was a very melodic piece.

The exception ofcourse is my idea of the live sounding drums.

Ah well you never know.

basic bones completed already... god bless mod :D

im going to try and totally rehaul the entire thing and listening to the original, only 1 or 2 samples will HAVE to stay albiet in higher quality seeing as i cant find a synth on this planet that does orchestral strikes quiet like the eightes lol.

gonna be a few week's before i get this done, but i can just FEEL im gonna enjoy this.. watch this space my dear little friends.

I am simply loving this! I think someone already pointed out that the bass drum is lacking a bit of oomph, but other than that it is sounding brilliant!

Sorry dude !!

I gotta say something.. This is well produced I can give you that but It's really boring.. The Original had life and a really great way to express all the instruments.. This has it not..

Good try though and nice to see that someone took on the 2:nd and 3:d part of this LOVELY demomusic.

Well done. Nice start. Not very exciting at the end. :)
