death wish 3
death wish 3
my fav thing in death wish 3 (and who'd have thought a pixellated moustache would have really looked like charles bronson) was to get a fully loaded gun, to go in a corner of the screen, wait for a granny to come close, and shoot her until she reached the other edge of the screen.

haha didnt we all do that?.. it was more fun to do it from the window though cos you could weld tons of ppl to the spot with that machine gun watching your bad boy rating sky rocket ^^ ... absolutely loved that game though i never understood the sodding map (i was like 10 at the time so multi dimensional stuff kinda slipped above my radar ^^ ) .. on a side note dw3 was the first 18 rated film i ever saw and the phrase "bodyarmour mother fucker" has stuck with me ever since.. used primarily during the owning of someone in counterstrike ^^ .
* edit i should have probably said something about the tune.. so
yeah .. its very 80's theres no doubt about that.. nice clean synths, unfortunately makke already did what i feel is the definitive deathwish (what do you want for christmas?.. i want to be dead.. ) and this despite being rather quaint (god i wish i could spell that word grrr) is unfortunately a little on the sparse side.. but if its a first go then i can only give you a round of applause for trying.. keep it up... maybe try to flesh things out a little more, definitely dump the sid drums they have been done to death now and dont sound nearly as unique as they used too (damn things even appear on "commercial" music now) but yeah its pretty good.. and the deathwish 9 "gag" at the start raised a smile .
" zimmer frame viagra taker!" ..

Er.. so have all drums, pretty much. Why dump SID drums if they work in a musical context? No one says "oooh, snare drums have been done to death. Use a squealing cockroach instead"...Infamous wrote:they have been done to death now and dont sound nearly as unique as they used too (damn things even appear on "commercial" music now)

Won't somebody PLEASE think of the children?
Yup, yup. I adored this game, I used to place this game for hours, it was the GTA of it's day.Infamous wrote:haha didnt we all do that..
I'd agree with this too...Infamous wrote: keep it up... maybe try to flesh things out a little more, definitely dump the sid drums they have been done to death now and dont sound nearly as unique as they used too (damn things even appear on "commercial" music now) but yeah its pretty good..
yes, but once it's out I can post the FLP, it's quite smallor are you using as of yet released FL6 stuff
I have 5 or 6 more SID remixes that will never be finished.
Among those, the 5th Axis, that not only had a great pair of tunes, but was even more fun than death wish 3. Setting the agility to max & power to min, and throwing a dozen of kicks & punches at beasts while jumping.. fun. Here again there was probably a plot & a goal, but who cared.

Cant remember that game but I will have a play sometimegol wrote:I have 5 or 6 more SID remixes that will never be finished.

So, if you want any of my RKO remixes to release with FL6 then just let me know Maybe my Megasweet?
Cheers
What's wrong with them - Didn't even consider the copyright issues... I assume you spoke with Chris Abbott about Nemesis The Warlock released in FL5 then?gol wrote:I'm afraid others at IL aren't much fond of SID remixes , and add to that copyright problems..
Yip, I've got that FLP somewhere but all the samples he uses would make that HUGE to put with the package!gol wrote:The idea was to have Glyn's Firelord as a demo song, but our sampler wasn't finished in time.
Kai Walter is a really really nice chap though so there should be no problems with using Megasweet <hint hint>

I think you're missing the point here: I'm the copyright holder to all three of the tunes mentioned and Skitz was suggesting that there should have been a chat about this before now...gol wrote:was there one? I only remember sanxion & auf wiedersehen monty. They normally won't be in FL6, though.I assume you spoke with Chris Abbott about Nemesis The Warlock released in FL5 then?

Yes, sorry about that. Our betatesters make cover songs of what they like and we include(d) them (fully credited of course).
So far we only bothered about copyrights of samples used, but not to get in troubles (in the first releases we had covers of kraftwerk or daft punk tunes, obviously no way we could get any right of that), we don't include covers anymore.
You have to realize that we do cover songs just like people do here & at RKO, obviously without owning any rights. It's only a problem when they're included in an app that starts to be a little known (the company then looks 'bigger', but nothing has really changed on our side), so it's just now that we look closer at which demo projects we include.
I didn't even know someone still owned/bothered about copyrights of SID songs (didn't even know any of those 80's small game companies were still alive , though, so I think that only the artist was credited in those projects (mostly Hubbard I think).
