Congratulations to the most successful ex-SID composer ever

Post by Chris Abbott »

I'm talking about, of course, Matt Gray, now of Xenomania, who has just produced Girls Aloud's third album, which has been getting some pretty great reviews: the Sunday Times even crediting them with a lot of that success. Way to go Matt!

That's Dan's quote about me, he owns copyright on that LOL.

Seriously, even if it's not everyone's cup of tea, a band like Girls Aloud (cough! splutter!) will make lots of album sales, hence a nice fat royalty cheque for Matt.

Did you ever manage to convince him to check through his C64 tunes?

Poor guy - bit of a step-down from writing music for the Last Ninja 2, if you ask me...

I merely jest, of course - WELL DONE THAT BOY!!! (But next time, produce something I don't have to buy in a brown paper bag)...

[EDIT]

Actually, that was an asshole thing for me to say

Fact is PRODUCTION wise, the Girls Aloud stuff that Xenomania have produced has been very, very good - and it's Matt's production skills that this post is celelbrating, not how shit Girls Aloud are...

SOTUG and Jump are MASSIVE sounding records and actually quite clever and enjoyable IF you can ignore the faceless music generating machine that created them...

He was a co-author of the song. I've seen the official credits at MCPS. Not the main author, by all accounts, but an official co-author.
