Spectrum vs C64

Post by Chris Abbott »

I know which one you'd rather have... but what if you were in a hot-air balloon and needed to throw out some ballast, eh?

I started my 8 bit life off on a Speccy 16K and only got a C64 near to the end of it's commercial lifespan in the late 80's (i.e when the Amiga and Atari ST were becoming THE home computers to own), so I'd throw the Speccy out since I'd have more time to play on the C64 :wink:

Chris
I'd throw the C64, and when I land I'd sell the spectrum and buy a c64

Unfortunately, the C64 is heavier than the Spectrum ....

Although it would be an Indiana Jones chin scratching moment if it was between a 1541 disk drive and a pallet of bricks. How many bricks are equal to the weight ;)

Problem here is if you through the C64 out then that would crash and smash in little bits :cry:
Then you would be left with the Spectrum and if you throw that out it would just bounce off the floor with its special rubbery keys -
fly right back up past your face and say NOW YA C64 CANNA DO THIS EHH !!!

Unfortantly the SPECTRUM WINS :lol: :evil:

Is it me or are the answers' descriptions swapped around? I would write it like

Which one would you keep in the balloon?
* C64 - At least I'd die listening to SID
* Spectrum - I'd be beeptastically alive!,
or

Which one would you throw out of the balloon?
* C64 - I'd be beeptastically alive!
* Spectrum - At least I'd die listening to SID

??

[edit: he was right. I changed it - Chris]
