WIP: Dope Out

Post by k_rostoen »

A song I started on ages ago but did some fixing on the other day. Far from finished but I'd like some comments on what to improve. The second bass a while out in the song might destroy your speakers, but I think you'll be fine ;)

As there lead in the original song is quite short, this whole song is quite short. A bit too short, guess I will just have to come up with something myself.

The original is by Thomas Mogensen and you can download the SID here:

I have deleted the WIP-version. The final version has been uploaded to RKO.

A little too laidback for me, especially in the beginning - looses some of the nice energy of the original, but it gets better as it progresses; the sound is clean and the lead is quite good. Overall a nice remix in my oppinion.

Thanks for your feedback, exo. I agree that it might sound a bit too laidback. I haven't quite decided what to do with it yet. Could perhaps try a bit more uptempo version. I think the biggest problem is that the original is so short... doesn't give you much to work with.

I've finished the tune and it is now queed at RKO. I've deleted the old WIP-tune above as it is no point having it there anymore.
Hope you like it.
