711 Lethal Excess Level 4 - ReMIX

Post by Paul Vanukoff »

This mix is the same one as on RKO, I trust the Amiga music was similar enough - I can't check this morning - so I just posted it.

hi,
amiga + st-version where the originals ... the c64-conversion of this game was canceled. the c64-musician used the sounds later on for several diskmags.
i released it on rko coz there was no amigaremix.com

my version with its "chuck" or laserfx is based on the amiga-version (the first i knew, liked or whatever ...)

So what you're saying is that I should nuke the tune from RKO ? ;)

Well, you just told everyone that a) you put it on RKO because AmigaRemix wasn't around at the time and b) that your version is based on the Amiga one.

Sorry, but that fully qualifies for removal in my book.

if you say it like this, remember that even the "original" c64-version is a remake of the amiga-/st-version - but finally its your decision.

Not only am I aware of that, it's the very point I'm trying to get across.

And that's why you won't see any other Lethal Excess mixes on RKO in the future. Or why Press Play On Tapes "Space Tanks" haven't been put online. Or why I don't care if Jean Michel Jarre himself descends from heaven and uploads "Magnetic Fields, Part 2" just because it happens to match one of the Bombjack subtunes.

I'm not saying any of these tunes are bad. They just don't belong on RKO.

:( well, it was me who did the c64-conversions from LETHAL EXCESS and
unfortunately ECLIPSE cancelled the whole C64-Game conversion!
But they didn't want to pay me for my work and that's why I used them for the
MAGIC DISK / GAME ON Magazines just to get a few dollars for my hard work! In my opinion they do belong to R:K:O: as well ....but hey that's Jan's decision (again he is stoppin' my tunes) seems that you don't like my stuff... he,he,he ...... no no i am just kidding Jan

cheers
TOM:::::..

btw: I think LETHAL EXCESS is one of the best Game-Tunes by Jochen Hippel!
