Chiptunes vs Hip-hop

Post by T I C K A »

Just stumbled across this site and what can I say...... WOW !!!!! (and no thats not War of the Worlds) !!!!!!

What an amazing and talented collective of remixers in here ... some of those mp3s are gold !!

In particular I was hoping someone could point me as to where I may find some more Hip-hop based chiptunes (preferably without rapping)

.. yea just some low-slung, retro based stuff with a hip-hop beat ! (I've played Romeo Knights - Beastie Boys remix about 50 times today ... haha! )

yea more of that sorta stuff !

cheers from Australia,
steve

Have a look at The Dead Guys remixes (search for 'dr doom' on remix.kwed.org and you'll get their stuff).

Welcome aboard, Steve! :D

Also try the c64 Mafia (with rapping though...).
Or even better: the c64 Take-Away podcast had a hip hop special (Episode 15) some while back. Check it out:
